About the Work: Darwin was a three-part docu-drama produced to mark the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin's birth and the 150th anniversary of the publication of The Origin of Species. We created a companion site to the three-part broadcast series which provided program information, generated additional audiences for the series online, extended the educational mandate of the series, and sparked conversation among the audience about Darwin's legacy and the implications for our time.

The site provided an immersive, exploratory experience that contextualized the various pieces of story in time, place and overall scientific progress through video, images and sounds. As users went through the story a game element encouraged them to collect specimens in order to unlock bonus content.

CBC Television  |  Project X  |  Microsite  |  March 2008  |  Launch Site

About the Work: Project X was a half-hour themed series that sets out to explore the frontlines of science in an offbeat, entertaining, but intellectually challenging manner. A series that demonstrates to the viewer that science is everywhere in our lives… a passport to a hidden and constantly evolving world of knowledge and events.

We developed a microsite that provided program information, generated additional audiences for the series online, extended the educational mandate of the series, and sparked conversation among the audience about science and technology.
